Synergy
I'm finding that providing a number of tasks is less useful than providing a number of tasks that are synergistic in nature. One leads to the next, with backtracking and re-thinking the task as a valuable tool for the learner. Personal note, my thesis has been corrected, and I'm going to pick it up. Hope I don't have to knock down too many trees to make the corrections.
When creating anything it is always important to consider quality over quantity. In your WQ it is important that the overall task is doable and not redundant so good that you are looking for connections
